    SIDEPIPE CLEARANCES ?

    Can someone tell me how much clearance there is between the underneath of the frame and the exhaust pipe with a side exhaust system. Mine is a 65 L79 coupe and I am having problems getting the pipe on the passenger side sitting proper. The driver side seems to be correct and have much greater space between pipe and frame than the other side. Thanks Sheldon

      Do you have the heat riser on the right side exhaust manifold ?(lowers the pipes 2" or so.)The clearance should be right if its there.

          Yes I have the heat riser on the right hand side. The pipe on the left sits level and has quite a bit of clearance between the underneath of the frame and the top of the pipe. While the right side is higher at the front than the rear and only has about 3/4 inch clearance under the frame . Sheldon
