    C2 Rear Storage Cover Labels

Notice a number of past postings have talked about the positions of the Jacking Instructions and the Posi Label, however that was for later models 66 up.

The JG (63/64) calls for the labels to be on the drivers side with Jacking above Posi.

Well my originals are gone, but the remaining location are marked by glue remains.
My old cover has Posi above the Jacking and both on passangers side.

Nolands book page 103 at least shows the Posi above the Jacking. Those past discussions about 66+ have various mentions about labels being on the passangers side.

    What do other people have?

    Thanks
    Alan

Re: C2 Rear Storage Cover Labels

    Alan,

I agree. Although the AIM's call for a specific location/side for the labels, I've seen many originals that were factory installed on the opposite side.

I've also seen these labels on the opposite side of the fuel tank cover used with the Z06/N03 option. The AIM shows the installation but I don't think it was specific as to which side it was actually supposed to be on in the text.

Perhaps the manual would be more correct if it mentioned that the labels were typically on the left but that originals have also been observed on the right?

      and sometimes the wrong sticker

seen at NCRS 1981 St.Louis National meet. On that pilot line '65 convertible VIN # 00003.

This one should be for a 36 gal coupe with knock-offs (notice location of jack and KO hammer).

Can't remember which side it was on, but the vinyl was a weird turquoise that matched the leather seats and the exterior paint.

Yes, I remember that car. Was the one with the big block (427) from the engineering center. Have that almost identical pic somewhere.

I'm trying to find a few more pic's now. Pretty sure I also have one on the wrong side of an N03 tank cover.
