              Nah, after 65 the slope on the backside was changed to accomodate disk brakes. So anything with more (or less) than 3 bumps isn't correct anyway.

                    Thanks Tracy for a great photo and explanation.

                    Fortunately my '63 steel wheels match your photos.

                    I also have noticed the feature you point out about the "air vents" (if that's what they are). A real subtle thing one also has to watch carefully for.

                    On real '63 wheels they have that radius that you show. It follows the curvature of the rim.

                    I have seen wheels where the vents are radiused IN-ward towards the hub and I'm not sure they were original.
