Was the V74 4 way flasher factory installed and so noted on the window sticker?

I was under the impresion they were all dealer installed as all the states did not require it yet.

I was looking at a top flight 66 (on line) and the window sticker showed option V74.

It was a factory installed option in '66. (Dealer installation was available also).

I agree with Rob. I have an original factory invoice that shows the V74 option and dealer price.

I've heard some knowledgeable in this area say the State of New York required the option in 1966 but I have no specific knowledge to confirm/deny...

-----You are correct, Jack. New York required 4-way flashers in the calender year of 66. Of that I am posative. Our 66 was delivered to Binghamton,NY and when we went to the dealer in the 90s I asked the sales manager about the 4-way flashers and he said that all cars ordered after the first of the year were ordered with flashers. Of course they could also have been ordered by anyone who wanted them during the whole model year as well, simply as an option. Im not sure of 1965 however. By 67 I think the flashers were federally mandated........Bill S
