Hi!
It may be a strange question but can anyone explane me the term early and late????
My '65 Corvette # is 4084! (Dec. 17 1964) Is it a early ore late Corvette?

This has been answered MANY times and you'll find several threads in the archives. Basically, the terms 'early' and 'late' refer to specific running changes made during a given model year. There is no 'absolute' definition of early/late vs. a given car's VIN number. You have to take each instance in terms of the specific part that's being discussed.
In some cases, some parts were left over from the prior model year and used up on cars built at the start of the next model year. How long this persisted dependend on inventory on hand. In other cases, the parts for a given MY were exhausted and next year's equivalent parts were in-plant and used.
Then, there were cases where this/that particular part was 'improved' and the new items went into production during the course of the MY with production being inter-mixed on the line until inventories of the earlier part were used up. Typically, the NCRS judging guide books give guidance on what constitutes 'early' vs. 'late' on a part specific basis...
Your Corvette itself being a Dec 64 car would be considered early in production. So you have a early production 65 you should pay attention to cars in your serial # range to determine what parts were correct for Dec cars. Rule of thumb there are exceptions.
