I remember a Corvette dealer in New Hampshire who had a big operation in the late 1980,s and early 90,s. What ever happened to him?

------John was a wealthy guy without messing with Corvettes. I dont remember liking him much when I first met him but as we got to know each other I grew to think quite highly him. His checks were always good and he seemed to always do what he said he would do. Im expecting some to come on here and knock him as he was, after all, a dreaded "used car dealer" and there are probably some who were disappointed in a purchase or something.
------The auctioneers used to call him "Sonny" at the auctions as he had a passing resemblance to Sonny Bono. They always got a laugh out of the crowd with that.
------He had a nice set-up there in N.H. and I have often wondered what happened to him as well.
------Since he was around during the first price run-up during the late 80s, early 90s I sort of assumed that he just got out when it became so much more difficult to make money during the mid 90s.
------I remember that he owned part or all of a horse or dog track among other things. I also remember thinking that the business always had to make him money for him to be interested in it.
------Anybody got an update on him???..........Bill S

I remember visiting him in 1990, and offering a price he did not like for a 67 roadster. He subsequently set his two dogs on me, as I ran as fast as I could for my car (this is a true story).

I vaguely recall hearing that he is still around but he's completely out of the Corvette business. I was told what business he's in and I think that it's something completely different and unrelated to automotive. I just don't recall what it is.

In 1998 John was working at Fitzgerald Motorsports in Laconia NH, a Dodge dealer, Vipers and used sports cars. He had a blue 67 cnvertble for sale at the time. Wouldn't let me drive it before buying so I walked away.

John Danos, is currently a Real Estate Marketer and Developer in Manchester and on the NH Coast.....I believe he is also the President (and money guy) of Baseball operations for two minor league teams....one in NH and the other I think is in Pennsylvania.
