    1960 Window

Tried to roll up the driver's side window this afternoon, just like I have for 17 years and it would not go up properly. The front of the window was going up a few inches and tilting back instead of up and forward. Back of window not moving. Took off the door panel and the rear access panel. The rear felt strip that glues into the metal channel was loose and wadded up. I have not taken the window apart in 17 years. What are the steps to get the channel out?

You're almost there already. Clean the wad out, get the window all the way up.
Remove the two screws with serrated washers on the surface of the door that has the latch. That loosens the channel--slide it down till it clears the window, then work it out the smaller access hole in the door.
