After scotchbrite and lacquer thinner prep, plastic primer, 3 light coats Krylon 1613.
Should have seen them before, they were ready to throw out but you can't find them anymore.

I've done the same to mine but didn't use a plastic primer and they turned out fine. I would like to know what plastic primer you used for future projects.
I used Eckler's Plastic Primer A1929.I have used this on bare plastic and interior fiberglass trim (like radio sidepanels). Don't know if it makes any difference.
Also the Scotchbrite I cited above was actually 3M synthetic steel wool.

I am partial to Krylon products for both plastic and metal work. These kick panel speakers were done last week with #41318 (Grey primer) and #43553 (Equestrian paint). I will install those in the spring. Not NCRS but I like four-channel sound in my 1967.
