In the archives on this matter, it leaves one guessing.
Are the 68 grills ( the ones with no web reinforcement and the grill sticking out past the outside frame ) the correct one for ALL 68?
Also were all 68 painted on the out side edge in silver?
Also how is this jugde by NCRS?
Thanks on a very confusing issue?!?!
Best Wishes to all for 2007
Michael
I don't believe they were all the same, I'm not sure how they are judged at local, regional, or National events though? Same or Different?
My Feb, built 68 had 69 brackets and grills with the reinforcements, but were painted. My car also was at the Tech Center for 10 Months, so were these added there or somewhere else in it's 40 year past?
I have an April built car that has one each of the different styles of grills. Both use the 68 style mounting and are painted silver on the edges but I don't know if they are original to the car or not.
It is also interesting to note that on the grill with the added webbing the end vertical web faces are not painted silver to make them appear the same as the earlier style from a distance.
