I'm restoring my air '66 air coupe and just purchased two new and correct horns. I'm interested in finding out about the correct attachment and placement of the horns. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks....Peter

Re: corvette horn attachment
Peter,
Do you have AIM?
The passenger side mounting is unique to air cars. See C60 B2. Special brackets because condenser and drier are in the way of standard horn mounting location
The drivers side is standared location. There is a tapped hole in between 2 bumps (anti turn?) on the radiator support near the condenser edge.

Re: corvette horn attachment
I believe that the drivers' side horn mounting strap has to be bent in a "Z" shape in order to clear the A/C condenser. This bend is not described in the AIM but has been observed on original cars and is considered correct. It's been three years since I had to deal with this issue, but the attached photo shows what I ended up with on my 67.

Re: corvette horn attachment
Also all unmolested mid year air cars I have seen have the drivers side horn bolted thru the lower condenser mounting bolt not the normal (non air) lower position in the core support.
