    '67 Hardtop wrench

    Hi to All,
Could someone please post a picture of a known original hardtop wrench for a '67 ? I have what I believe are two original wrenches with all the markings that should be on the wrench with the exception that one wrench has a small 7 on the 1/2" end near the shanks end and the other has a small 5 at the same place. Anyone shed some light on the correct application of the two wrenches?

As always thanks for your time,

    dm

Would the wrench be the same for '66? I'm in need of one for mine and have no idea what to look for. I have seen one that had VLCHEK on the wrench head...different year(s)? Thanks, Tim

          Re: '67 Hardtop wrench

I would suspect that the small numbers are casting mold numbers. I don't think that Vlceck made all hardtop wrenches in one mold. They probably made them in batches of 50 or 100 wrenches at a time. These wrenches were used for other things besides midyear Corvette hardtops.
          Any other ideas?

            Page,

I was thinking the same thing. The number on the 1/2" side looks like it is cast-in rather then stamped on. Probably would be a casting mold number.

The number on my repro is 7, and Harry's photos seem to have different numbers but I can't make them out. Couldn't find anything in the 67 Judging Guide on the number.

The picture was originally posted By John Hinckley. He has a 67, therefore I assume these are from a 67. I will post a picture of a repro wrench tomorrow.

I found a photo, so I'll post it tonight. I purchased it from one of the major parts suppliers.
