Identify engine that goes w/ emission decal

I'm trying to figure out the original engine that was in my 1971 vert. I have a lot of conflicting components. But I was able to remove the paint that covered the part of the emissions decal that goes on top of the firewall just above the brake booster in the engine compartment. The part of the decal that has the engine info (upper left part of decal) was missing. But this is what the right side of the decal says:

    A/T M/T
    Dwell 30 deg 30 deg
    Timing (BTDC@RPM) 8 deg @ 600 8 deg @ 600
    Spark Plug Gap 35 35
    Solenoid Screw (RPM) 600 600
Fast Idle Screw (RPM) 1500 1350

Lower right hand corner has the following decal part number:

    No. 3994018

Can someone identify the engine that goes with this decal?
    Thanks,
    Patrick

According to the 1970-1971 Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide (TIM&JG for obvious reasons), #3994018 is for an LS5 -- 454/365hp --
There is no way to tell from the emissions label which transmission was originally installed.

While I've got someones attention (and I don't have a JG yet because I'm waiting for the revised edition), my car also has a 6500-7000 red line tach. Is this the correct tach for a 454/ 365 hp? Thanks

        more for a LS-6 I think it should be 5500 for the LS-5 454.

          The TIM&JG (fourth edition) shows 5600 for 365hp and 6500 for 425hp.

Your wait is over. Contact the NCRS store for your very own copy of the updated 1970-1972 TIM&JG. The first copies were shipped just before Christmas according to other posts on this board. While you may not be the first on your block to get one, you can still be in the first run. Get your order in before they leave for the NCRS Regional in Florida. They might sell it out there.
