I ran across a 3155316 radiator with a yr 77 date stamp and was curious if that could be right?

Re: 63-72 #3155316 Radiator Question

It's just as Wayne stated. However, if you find one with a 1986 or later stamp, then that will be a real curiosity. Harrison ceased the manufacture of this radiator prior to that time. I don't think that Tom DeWitt would put any date on his reproduction radiators after 1972 since that was the last year for PRODUCTION use of this unit.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 3155316 Dated 77: Impact on Value?
Glenn------
Well, it's obviously an incorrectly dated unit for any original application. So, I would presume that would have some affect on value. However, on this issue, original Harrison radiator practices give one a "solution". Many original 3155316 radiators have a small plate welded to the top of the radiator and the date code is stamped into it. So, presumably, one could add such a plate over the incorrect date, stamp it with the appropriate date, and all would be well.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
