C3 1978 corvette motor color

I have a 1978 L82 silver ann. corvette with 8k miles...original motor.
the block color is a greenish color...I only see blue motors in other 78's...was there two colors for the blocks?????

I have an all original 78 S/A car too. Motor has that greenish look as well.

They were (blue) that Changed color over time with the engine heat

GM Corporate Blue is the color and it can be gotten over the counter at your local Chevy (or other GM I suppose) dealer...by the case last time I checked.

In low mileage Corvettes...we see the original blue but over time with miles, as indicated it gets greenish.
