My radiator shroud seal on my early 65 350HP car (5964-Jan.5 65) has 7 staples vs the JG suggested 5. Also, the staples are upside down from what the AIM shows. The staples are crimped into the seal, Not away from the seal. Common sense tells one to push staple through the seal first and crimp onto the bottom of the metal surface below like the AIM shows. I know for certain this shroud has been out of this car. The old seal looks original except for the paint on it. I mention this only for those who may judge cars in the future for reference. DG

#16524 is like yours
that is, 7 staples, (viewing from under the car) staple/steel/rubber/crimp ends.
This was covered in the archives quite a ways back.
This staple business here is similar to those attaching the rubber seals to the outer splash shields (non-N14 cars). I've seen as many as 14 staples.- Top
