What are the correct letters on the paper labels (stickers) for the front and rear shocks for a 1971 Corvette with a 454/4 speed with air conditioning.Thanks! Jim

I'm going to jump out here and narrrow the search down to HV...same as 68-70. I'm assuming its a base big block suspension in contrast to the ZR2 suspension which would have called for the 550 bl/inch rated spring or EA.Tom Russo

I think Tom's referring to SPRING broadcast code labels. The SHOCK ABSORBER labels were "EK" for the front and "EM" for the rear. These same codes were used for quite a few years, but I don't recall which. I know that it includes 71, though.
Also, we don't need to consider the ZR-2 possibility. C-60 lets that one out.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
