I did this quite some time ago. I used the Bill Hirsch version of Chevrolet orange. I'd say it was a mistake. I have to make some internal changes to the engine before I ever use it and I'll repaint at that time.
We,ve talked about the paint shades before. I like hirsch orange.(I know a bit pink). He's also driving distamce from me.
The shade isn't always represented in photos, although I know what you mean about the color a bit pink. But in your photos what shows exactly in my eyes, is the sheen level. Hirsch's orange has that a certain flatness to it. IMO.
Yes, the degree of flatness is the major aspect of "correctness" for the Hirsch paint. If they got the color right, then they'd be the best out there. Virtually all other Chevrolet orange paints on the market are too glossy with many being WAY too glossy.
