    1954 corvette convertible top frame

I need to find a code for the color of my 54 convertible top frame (biege). I need a PPG or dupont #. Does anyone know what # would be correct for this frame? I want to paint mine the correct color. I can't seem to find this info anywhere. Any help would be great! Thanks! Jeff

Krylon beige in spray cans is what most guys use. Chuck

      Hmmm... A related question....

What would be appropriate for a green top frame in a 55?

        Dave--

I suppose you know it but Noland adams on page 37 of his restoration book says "The frames were painted to match the color of the top which they would be used--beige for beige, for instance ,or black for black"

I would assume you get as close as you can using a spray can.

I think the formula for the correct 55 green is in Noland's book.

Having a senior moment, and can't remember the name of the color. Chuck

            Nope, just

a couple of references to "green", and the top is once called "forest green", but not "Forest Green", if you know what I mean. The frame is still the original green, but parts are scraped or oversprayed, I was hoping for an easy match. I remember hearing it called "Woodlawn Green", but don't know where. It may be age catching up with me :o)
