Mine has a small crack and I am going to replace it. Any recommendations on getting a new one? The car is a 65 with a 327 350HP motor.

Re: replacement bell housing for 65
Tim why not have it welded. You will never see it if it is done right. Mine had a hole in it from a clutch that blew up. When it was repaired you could not tell. You just need someone that can weld aluminum. Mike- Top

Tim-----
If by "new", you mean that literally, then you're out of luck. The GM bellhousings for your application were discontinued years ago and they are not reproduced or otherwise available in the aftermarket. The bellhousing for 14" flywheels is reproduced, but the bellhousing for 12-3/4" flywheels like yours is not.
You can have yours repaired as Mike suggested. Otherwise, used examples of the the GM #3840383 or 3858403 are not too hard to find for about 50 bucks. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
