What does 13 month suspension mean?

In the recent issue of The Corvette Restorer, a 62 is listed as getting a 13 month suspension in the judging results.

What does that mean? This person (or car) can't participate in NCRS events for 13 months?

What action(s) would justify getting a 13 month suspension.

    I'm confused (as usual).

One of the ways I think is removing the Corvette from the show field before the cars are released. I think you will find other ways in the general rules in your copy of the judging guide. If permission is given for illness or other good reason it would not happen.

The suspension is for the member not the car.

article 10.3 of the NCRS by laws deals with this.

John, Any member in good standing can request a copy of the By Laws from their Regional Director.

              Ed -

See Section 2, Item #10, on page 10 of the "Corvette Judging Reference Manual", "Length Of Time On Display & Display Requirements".

Mark - thanks for the info. I was not aware of the procedure. I will contact the appropriate person. I wonder if someone in my chapter (Del Val) might have a copy.

Does anyone know what Mike McCauley actually did at the St Louis Regional that resulted in his suspension? I mean specifically what actions he performed that were deemed by NCRS to violate bylaws section 10.3

I have no knowledge of the St. Louis issue, but Article 10.3 of the National By-Laws deals with termination of membership by the Board of Directors. The 13-month suspension penalty is covered in the Judging Reference Manual section I posted above.

I was at the St Louis Meet and the gentleman in question removed his car prior to release from the judging field. I was not involved in his judging but what I heard was he was unhappy with what he was being told and decided to leave.
