Hey Jerry Fuccillo: nice article in the Restorer!

Jerry. I just got my Restorer in the mail today. Nice article! One of my projects for my 67 this Winter to to gray phosphate my alternator pulley. Your article seems to suggest that I should buy a solution from Grant Wong and follow your procedures. Are you pretty happy with how your pulley turned out?

    Thanks.

    Tony,

If only we had a members only section so we could all see the article your talking about. I haven't received my Driveline in SoCal yet and I bet Jerry hasn't received his either. Looking forward to reading it and I'd go Jerry's method 100%

Kevin. You mean the mail is faster in little Parkville, Missouri than it is in SoCal??

It's good stuff in both the Restorer and the Driveline. You'll enjoy it!
      Best regards,
      Tony

Here's the color photos which go with the story

        Tony,

I'm pretty happy with the finish on the pulley. For you and others, here are the photos in color which go with the story:

There is a few here that are not in the story, but you will figure it out with the article. B&W is pretty good but when you are talking about finish, color is a little more expressive.

In the last photo of the 73 hood latches, I'd like to note that the finish on the spring retainer assembly is incorrect, should be zinc plated in parts, but what do I know, I'm a 67 guy. But it does go to show you how easy it is. I preped and just dunked the whole hood latch fully assembled into the Phosphate Stew (the subjects are Charles Platania's hood latches which he lent me to experiment on)

I think you will see here, that there is a good reason to go to an NCRS Image Archive Program. If the above images were preserved on an NCRS site, the members would have them forever, and related to the Restorer Story or the post. I could erase the above images from my image site tomorrow, or the image site went out of business, and the photos would be lost forever.

I understand that the issue of an Image Achive Program will come up at the March NCRS Board meeting. Give your Regional Directors your opinion on this matter.

        So much for politics,

          Kevin,

Did get my Restorer/Driveline this morning(Friday) in California. Small towns like Sonora have a lot of priority over Burbank. Thanks for the confidence. See you in Las Vegas in April? Got a bottle of 1967 Bertani Amarone to open, may be vinegar or plating stuff.

              Jerry,

Pony express dropped mine off Friday in Central Illinois on the way to your place. Great article!! For anyone not familar with any of Jerry's articles he is right on. I just finished the glovebox door restoration he (and Bob Young) suggested and I'm very happy with it. As soon as I get a chance to take some pictures I'll post them. GOOD JOB AGAIN JERRY!!
