i have a 62 327 with 300 hp this car came with the generator on the left and the expansion tank on the right anyone have any idea what thats all about

I've seen pictures of cars like that, but not sure why. Maybe Bubba just didn't care or know which side they belonged. Hope someone else can shed some light on the real reason for this.
