Dupont Paint - 1967 RED

I am looking for the correct paint code for Dupont Chromabase (Single Stage)paint that is the correct code for 1967 Rally Red. Is the color for 1966 and 1967 different although the name remained the same. Thanks as always.

The 66 and the 67 rally red are the same code#974. The actual paint numbers for the 2 or 3 different manufactures are in the assembly manuel. Also they should be in paint distrib's books like English Color.

Keith, Chromabase is the base for clearcoat, two stage [base/clear]. I believe you want Chroma-One single stage.

Call a Dupont supplier and have him look it up. What you probably will find is whats called an offset color, which means an approximate match. They probably have not gone back and formulated the exact original color. Most times they will not tell you this if you dont ask, so ask if its an offset. Sometimes offsets are quite good other times not.
