I have my freshly restored '63 fuelie coupe (Ermine White/Red) at a local new car auto show this weekend.
I love talking to the people about the car.
One gentleman told me he owned a new '63 back in 1963 (bought from a Chevy Dealership - Dewey Smith in Omaha NE.) but the color wasn't called Daytona Blue but another name. He knew about the changes to the model year throughout its life but hadn't kept up with Corvette changes over the years since he sold it many years ago. He also told me that the color actually was modified during the production year to get darker. I thought he was blowing smoke up my you-know-what.....
I showed him the Corvette Black Book and that there wasn't another name. I know that Mike Antonick makes changes to his book every year so maybe this one is valid too.
Just out of curiosity I'm looking for someone who knows colors for '63 and could chime in.
