seem to recall a recent post(can't find it) discussing inca silver and earliest Vin 57 that could have been this color. anyubody got a handle on this issue? thanks, mike

At the New England regional this past year there was a silver 57 brought by Ron of Ron's Corvettes in Fitchburg, Mass.The car was very impressive. He might be able to help with the paint as I assume that he restored the car.

The Corvette color options chart drawing in the back of the '56-7 Judging Manual is dated 4-29-57. My opinion has always been, that no Inca Silver acrylic lacquer Corvettes prior to May 1st would be acceptable. More than likely Inca Silver was not available prior to VIN 4000~4500. My original Owner's "Acrylic Lacquer - Cleaning" card insert I have is not dated. The Acrylic Lacquer T-O-P 57-42 - S&M dated September 1957, lists three colors; Dusk Pearl, Imperial Ivory and Inca Silver.
