I RECENTLY PURCHASED MY 67 CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE AND AM A NOVICE AT CAR RESTORATION. HOWEVER, I WOULD LIKE TO REPLACE THE TAILLIGHT BEZELS. ARE THERE ANY SUGGESTIONS/PROBLEMS/GUIDLINES REGARDING THIS PROCEDURE. THANKS FOR WHATEVER HELP YOU CAN PROVIDE. DON

Re: TAILLIGHT BEZELS
The bezel, housing, and socket are an assembly that doesn't come apart; each one is attached with two stamped speed nuts on studs that are part of the lamp housing, from behind the panel. Drop the spare tire carrier and the rear exhaust panel to gain access to them from behind. Trim Parts makes the best replacements - as Wayne noted, don't bother with the old ones.- Top

Re: TAILLIGHT BEZELS
John and Don------
....especially if the old bezels show any evidence of pitting or "pimples" (which they usually do). Having this damage repaired (assuming you can find someone willing to do the repair) and the bezels re-plated will cost WAY, WAY more than just buying new, quality reproductions. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
