73 Corvette VIN vs Trim Tag

The above picture is of the VIN tag for ebay item 120079299095. Does this VIN tag look original? The trim tag shows a date code of B01 and the posted VIN ends in 408180. The B01 date gives a sequence number of around 1300-1400 and the sequence number of 408180 date code should be D22-D24. What gives?

The ViN is for a L-48 not a 454 it has now. The picture of the VIN looks like the small font and I think by 8180 it should be large I would need to check my records. I did not see a trim tag in the pictures but the font should be the same as the VIN.

This is the trim tag.

I realized the engine code did not match the 454.

One thing for sure the VIN and the trim tag did not leave the factory on the same car or GM really goofed. The VIN and trim tag font change happened about Thanksgiving and that is about where this VIN is but the trim tag is for a Sept.72 1973 Corvette. Would be fun to check it out in person.
