I removed the driver side seat of my '67 to clean an accumulation of papers and dust out and found what appears to be an owner's pin. It's small, maybe a half inch or five eighths of an inch in diameter and has a white background on its face with the red and the white and black checkered flags. Beneath these flags is a gold "V" that is almost flattened out. At the bottom edge on the front of the pin it says "owner". There are some numbers and letters on the back of the pin at its bottom. There seems to be an "M" and an 18 or a 10 with several letters following these numbers. I cannot read the numbers because they are encrusted with dirt and I havent decided how to clean it yet. Does this sound like an original pin that would have been received when the mailer card was sent in from the owner manual? Is it correct for a '67? My thought is that perhaps the first owner of the car dropped it and never noticed or never bothered looking for it. Any help from the members to identify this pin would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
