    Duke Williams

    Hi,

Did we lose Duke in the recent exodus, or has he just been on vacation for a couple of weeks? I can't recall seeing him post in a while.

      Re: Duke Williams

Quite possibly he's gone...Archives show his last post on 9 January; Robert Jorjorian's RIP post was also on 9 January; seems like too much of a coincidence otherwise. Mike, Duke and others will be sorely missed.

Interesting that Duke will put up with all the BS and other stuff over on CF, but won't tolerate the episode here. I realize that they were different, but I've never been able to tolerate much of CF.

I would suspect that it has to do with Michael Hanson's treatment on this forum, and the 63-64 Judging Guide. Sure wish Michael and the others were back.
Bet this post doesn't last long.

Actually, I have not seen Duke on the CF recently either. But I do not go there that much. I spend most of my time on the Vetteheads.

I'm surprised that these guy's haven't surfaced at Vetteheads yet.

I wonder if all the people that left in protest realize they are not hurting NCRS as an organization.
They are only hurting those on this forum that relied and trusted their knowledge and experience.

it is probably the $30 a year dues.

i had the same thoughts because for years i was paid for what i knew about engines and then i retired and they wanted me to PAY to share the info for free. ken convinced me to sign up and pay the $30 and i was the best $30 i ever spent.

                          Re: Duke Williams

Duke stopped "putting up with" the CF "stuff" a number of months ago for what seems to be the last time, he hasn't posted over there since Oct 24th under his "SWCDuke" handle.(I would posit that he grew tired of debating cams and such; he had a view, and a few folks over there had a different view, life is like that - but I think he didn't care for being disagreed with. A loss of historical info and unquestionable knowledge and talent for sure; I don't know where, and under what name, he can be found now on these internet forums.)

Duke hasn't posted on CF for several months.

Maybe we should start checking the MR2 forums.
