When I removed the Plenum Assembly on my 1967 Air car, someone had filled the space above the bracket assembly and totally sealed off the area against any water flowing through the wiper grill, into the vent area, and escaping through the drain hold under the car. I assume this is incorrect. How should the area above the RH A/C vent bracket assembly be finished? Is the top just left exposed to water that gets in through the wiper grill or is there somewhat of a body glass extension that provides some protection to the water? I cannot find this any where in the AIM, Chassis Manual, etc. Thanks for your help.
