Is there a good supplier for OEM colors in a spray can? I need to refinish the bottom of my gas cap lid, and it seems non existant in the catalogs?

Chris find a Pro paint supply house near you most shops today can mix a spray can to match your color and also can mix interior paints. Paul

I just bought from him last week . I was unable to get a suppolier in Naples Florida as the last guy where I could get rattle cans folded up.
corvettecolor.com has been mentioned on this site many times. He has a chart that specifies all of the codes for the oorvettes by year by supplier.
You can look up the stuff on the website and get the corvette paint colors. Evereyone should have their web address in their fovorites.
the rattle cans are $19.95 per can and the paint pouch-up 2oz bottles are 10.95 each.

You should browse their web site and products, It is a good site and the people are friendly. It takes about a week to get the paint as it cannot go on a plane and has to go by ground transport (Fedex etc.) They take cr cards so you can get it on the way asap.
I have no affiliation with them . they just have been supplying paint codes for vettes for ages.

Their is a product called prevail at auto paint stores that has a small can with compressed air in it and a glass cup to hold any paint you want to spray. I have found them to work as good as a rattle can or better and all you need is some color match paint. I usally have some paint left over from the repaint on the car.

I would use an air brush,smaller spray pattern less over spray to keep from painting the whole side of car

I would take off the gas cap lid off and spray on a cardboard on my workbench.

Paintscratch.com I used them for the Monza red on my 69. I think it was $14.95 for the spray can. It worked fine, matched fine. As stated above take the fuel door off paint it and it will be a lot better job and much easier in the long run.Tom P.S. Lyle and Don I am from Cape Coral. corvette america has your paint I used it on my 72 nice match.An air brush is to small for that job.Ace hardware has a glass jar with a spray top all in one pcs it is half the size of your hand works very good but go slow you can color sand in a few days if there is any flaws also ace has clear coat spray.Also the paint from corvette america is thin enough to spray no thinner needed.Denny

Feb 17th--Show in Naples --Down around 3rd st or 5th street.

lamborgini, porshe's corvette, antiques and everything else. Really good show. They block off a few streets. Really good show . our corvette club goes there every year. This is the first year for a car auction. I know that I get about 10,000 people go by my car and 99% stop and look at it. Lots of pedistrian traffic. 2-300 cars i think. I think entry is $3.00 donation.
