1965 Transistor ignition wiring harness.

Hi , I understand fom a judge at Kissimmee that the wiring harnes for TI ignition is supposed to be wrapped in a cloth tape NOT plastic tape. What type of cloth tape are we talking about. Something like the old style electricians black tape or some thing else.

Jack the tape is real similar to the old "monkey grip" electrical tape.

Or what I call "hockey stick" tape ...

from 50 years ago, in Northern Ontario.

This woven cloth tape is also known as "friction" tape, available in any hardware store.

Now if my mid-'65 harness (faint pink stripe) has not been re-wrapped, I measure the tape width at 3/4" exactly.

Hi Jack, Long Island Corvette sells the correct tape which should get you through judging.
