      Google gives many conflicting applications.

Is this a functional replacement for a C2 Corvette 327/300 fuel pump? NAPA pic.

          Paul-----

The AC type 4657 fuel pump had many applications---too many to list. However, it is correct for 63-65 Corvette with 250 or 300 hp engines.

Thanks Joe. Very much appreciated. The top of my 327 (heads, intake, exhaust manifolds, alternator, etc.) are "correct" but the block is a mystery. Some time in the distant past there must have been a catastrophic bottom end failure and the original block was discarded. The numbers on the passenger-side pad don't make much sense according to the usual guides (e.g MorTec) and the engine ID is upside down?? If anyone likes a mystery I have a pic of that pad. I have traced the car back to 1986 in Florida (used car dealer) but I do not know when the block was changed or for what reason.

Getting top-end parts is not a problem (ask for 1967 327/300) but things get a little dicier down below. Bit of a guessing game based on visuals. The fuel pump is definitely not 1967 with the single 5/16" inverted fitting. I have a 3/8" NPT adapter threaded into the pump and the 5/16" fitting is in turn threaded into that to secure the fuel line. Hence my choice of the #4657.

I can't poke about the car (now in secure winter storage) until April so the numbers on the pump currently in use are not available to me. I will probably delay the pump purchase until then. It is intended as a spare so this is not a critical matter.

Having said that, whatever 327 motor it is, it sure does run well.
