I HAVE A ROCHESTER FUEL INJECTOR WITH NO ID TAG. THE UNIT WAS STORED 30 - 35 YEARS WITH DISTRIBUTOR # 1110915 , DATE 7 J 19, WHICH IS FOR A 1958 250 HP ENGINE. DOES THE UNIT MATCH THE DISTRIBUTOR? OR IS FOR SOME OTHER APPLICATION? THANKS FOR ANY HELP.

INTAKE CAST #3734947, 520 (ON BOTTOM) INTAKE PLENUM CAST # 7014788 ON BOTTOM BY AIR METER MOUNT FLANGE.

    FUEL METER CAST # 7014312. 7014522 & 1841 STAMPED ON SIDE.

AIR METER CAST # 7014804. 7014801 STAMPED ON MOUNT FLANGE.

In checking with Corvette by the Numbers book, the 1110915 distributor goes with the 250 HP vette engine and the date of Sept. 19, 1957. According to the book, most 915's are dated late '57. It appears the distributor goes with the 250 hp FI you have. I'd keep them together.

Ronnie, Sounds like you have a mismatched distributor and FI unit. In checking the numbers of your castings it appears that you may have a Rochester Products reworked unit. The tag may have then read 7014800R which was a service replacement unit and was also used on a few high HP early 58's.
You have a typical fuel meter from a 57 7014520 unit and a typical air meter from a 7014800, 4800R 4960 FI unit. But since your set up has been sitting for 35 plus years I would guess that it is in fact what I first said. a 7014800R unit. That unit would take a dual point distributor with no vacuum advance. Your '915 distr is single points with a hex shaped vacuum advance. You need a 905 or maybe even a 908 distributor to match up with the FI unit. By the way the 7014800R was a good running '57 service unit.
For further info refer to the NCRS pocket spec guide. One thing though is that the spec guide does not list all the possible combinations of '57 castings to make up a 7014800R unit. RP didn't waste any castings and if it fit together they used it. John D.
