    Thermostat Housing Code

On a 64 327/300 engine, thermostat housing # 3827369 what does B4 stand for? Is this the date, I have one B4 and one B2 Thanks Gary

    Gary-----

It's not a date. It's probably a mold number or other manufacturing code. It has no known significance as far as restoration is concerned and no particular code is deemed "correct" for any particular car. In other words, either of the 2 codes you described (or, even, others) are fine.
