Roy, at the Regional meet in Florida a few weeks ago there was a silver 1963 coupe with the valve cover seals as you have pictured. It was mostly an untouched car except for paint and a few other items.
It was a 300hp car and as I recall the VIN was in the 7000's. Anyway, does anyone else recall the seals and are they suppose to be there????
You may not get many responses but a lot of people look at what you post.
I save a lot of the pictures for reference, I sure don't remember well any more.
Thank you for posting the good pictures, not many other people have the library of parts and pictures you have.
Are you driving either of your copper cars to Bloomington this year?
Many years ago most all gasket sets came with the seals , the JM don't recognize them as original like so many other things that was original, but I keep my 55 original weather the JM recognize them or not , same with many other items , I just took the hits because I'll never enter it again any way. You just do as the JM wont's and if you have a nice Corvette you'll still make TF.
R/upper original logo's on grill oval ,brake and rear bumper support parts , you will find different logo's depending on the supplier
Original 55 and 56 first design heat risers design and logo
Left sides show the S/S filler missing on most c1 hard tops from 56 to 60
Right side many never seen the spark plug holders used on early 56 I use on my 55 and keeps the wires lasting longer (not shorting). No one I know repro them , that on chrome piece I don't use just showed it for some one els years ago.
PS the engine is RED (original color) the pic fadded out looks orange
How can you say that, 370 people have viewed your first Trivia, just because we don't partake in an answer, don't think we don't care or don't download for future reference.
Terry
Your right I dint look at the numbers that looked , I for get that, but again thought some one would question them? I'm not always right on parts looking for discussions.
