64 MUNCIE DATE CODE

i have a 64 munice with the date code of p40120 the 4 is surrounded by a square does anyone know what the 4 means i believe the 0120 is january 20th but i have no idea what the 4 is any help would be appreciated

Richard, am curious to see your responces. I have a 67 with a stamp on the vertical edge of the main case of P01004. Have been told this is not possible, as all codes were only 5 characters.

Oh come now, we are dealing with human beings on an assembly line, ANYTHING is possible. My father ran a Chevy store for years and while I worked there all kinds of things came off the assembly line that shouldn't.
