Original Soft Top Colour

How do I find out the original top colour for a '71 Mulsanne Blue Roadster? Is it on the trim tag?

At the time of ordering the car, did the purchaser have the choice of white or black or were there set colour combinations (i.e. Mulsanne Blue came with a white top only and Steeles Cities Gray came with black only)?

You are probably not going to find out unless you have a build sheet for that vehicle.

Purchaser had choice of white or black. Unless top is there, you find build sheet stashed on the car or you find original owner you do not know. That also give you the luxury of installing the colour you wish.
