When I had my 67 coupe painted years ago, the painter used stove bolts for the rear valance(under car exhaust). The package I bought has 8 bolts and washers. I only found 6 bolts. What am I missing? Thanks in advance Dale

Re: rear valance bolts
Thank you Wayne. That was where they were. I saw in a post where two of them were painted body color. I could not find it in the archives. is that correct for a St. Louis car? dale- Top

Re: rear valance bolts
The panel was hanging on the body by two screws when painted, but the panel was removed later before the body drop. It was then re-installed. I have often wondered where the painted screws went, but I dont think that they got back on the panel.- Top

Re: rear valance bolts
Those two (painted) bolts were trashed back on the Trim Line when the valance was taken off the car to subassemble the bezels to it for the tailpipes; I don't recall for sure if they recycled them back to the Body Shop to be re-used for paint or not, but I doubt it.- Top
