interior code?

I am in the process of moving and my vette blackbook is packed away, my 82 has an interior code on the trim tag of "741". while trying to find the codes on the internet, I ran across a site that listed no "741"'s, but a "742" as being dark red leather. The car has red "faded" leather. Was there a "741" or do I have some kind of misstamp on my trim tag?

I don't see a '741' in mine, '742' is indeed Dark Red Leather. Wouldn't be the first time a trim tag is wrong, but an '82 expert would be the one to ask, STW, Mike

I have to agree with Mike, my black book also shows a 742 as being Dark Red Leather for your '82. There is no '741' trim listed. Good Luck...
