62 T-10 Speedo Drive Gear

Need to know which (#? teeth) drive gear was originally used with a 3.70 rear end.

Any help is appreciated.

According to GM, your application used an 8 tooth DRIVE gear (the gear installed on the transmission mainshaft) and a 22 tooth DRIVEN gear. Of course, all this depends upon your tire size being as-original. Change that by very much and "all bets are off". By the way, the 22 tooth DRIVEN gear is not the same 22 tooth gear as used for later models. It was a spacial gear of GM #3708699 which was nylon and solid green in color. It's long-since GM discontinued. I THINK that it had a longer shank that the later gears.

I think I have a couple of them left. I bought a bunch of different ones right before they were discontinued. When you decide which one you need, drop me an e-mail and I will go out to the garage on a warmer day, it's 2 above right now, and look through my supply.
