    Ventilator assembly repair

Need help attaching a new forward window felt to the ventilator assembly. New is a straight metal channel that must attach to the curved metal track. Any thoughts ????? This is for a 66 roadster

    Re: Ventilator assembly repair

I just did that job. There are 2 different weatherstrip pieces, one is straight, the other is already curved to match the window run. The curved one is much easier to install. I bought the straight pieces not knowing any better and got them in after gently bending a curve into them. I got it started on one end and used a small screw and nut to hold it in place as I went up and attached the rest of it. It looks OK but it's not a great fit and the ends where they are cut during manufacture are kind of raggedy. I'm not sure if the curved weatherstrip fits any better or not.

I just went through this with my 66 coupe. If you don't mind the CF forum, you can read my post.
