Upper right is the second design FI filter and lower right the first design , also the original FI cup having the tangs to hold the original fuel filter , the cup also has a weep hole at the bottom area that most repro's don't have.

I`m of the belief that the "original design" filter assembly is the one without the ribs on the can. The GF-130 element which was removed from my non-rib filter assembly is painted red otherwise it appears identical to the one in your photo.

(I`m of the belief that the "original design" filter assembly is the one without the ribs on the can). Correct! and the second design was to get a better grip when removing it like the square design on the top to get a wrench on it.
