for 1965 would my 4 uniroyal blackwall 215- 75- 15 tires pass for judging as a replacement tire ,or should i say would they pass under the u.s.royal brand .i also have my original spare tire in the tub ,it is a firestone deluxe champion whitewall 775-15 .can you have blackwalls on the ground and a whitewall in the spare . any help ,thanks jim

Hi Jim,
The size designation of radials from the 1965 Judging Guide(5th edition) is 195/75R/15 or 205/75/R15 so I don't think the 215/75/R15 size would be a correct size. As far as the Uniroyal verses the U.S. Royal I don't think it would be a problem. Also, an original spare would recieve full credit even if it didn't match the other road tires.

The BASE '65 tire was blackwall rayon cord. P91 was a blackwall NYLON cord tire. Rayon whiteline and goldline tires were also optional, and about 95 percent of orders included a tire option.
There is no way to tell what tires a '65 was delivered with unless the spare is a known original or the car has documentation.
The tires on the ground and spare are judged separately and have no effect on each other.
