well, believe NCRS bylaws (?) state Corvette model year must be 15 years old before judging will be considered??????
know that 1992-93 manual has/is being written - believe at the Gonzales, LA meet in November, Tom Barr and folks actually judged a 1993? so, won't be too long before we start seeing them actually at meetsRick Aleshire

I would not be apologetic, at all, for "...only having a C4". In my mind, and I would hope in the mind of any real Corvette enthusiast, ALL Corvettes are equally "important". There may be some that are more valuable than others, but all are equally important.
Beyond that, C4's are fascinating cars. They are the most complex Corvettes that were ever built and, likely, the most complex that ever will be built. The cost, today, of designing and building a new Corvette with such complexity would be so great that the sales potential of the vehicle would be drastically reduced.
As I've mentioned previously, one of these days when folks get into serious restoration of C4's, it's going to be an effort that will make restoration of C1-C3 Corvettes look like child's play.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

I have a Top Flight 1990 ZR1. The amount of technology in this automobile is astounding. It is a challenge to keep everything operational in a 17 year old car. No screw driver adjustments here.. Jim- Top

...and the parts to keep everything operational are disappearing fast; a great many are gone already. I sure hope that the tooling to produce these parts is preserved for possible future reproduction. Even with the tooling to produce some of these parts it's going to be tough for a reproduction to "pencil out". Without the original tooling, I would venture a guess that it will be completely infeasible for reproductions to ever become available.
I'm not talking about just ZR1's here; I'm talking about ALL C4 cars. ZR1-specific parts are going to be even more difficult. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: When will the rest of the C4's be judged????
There is a team under the direction of the C4 & C5 Judging Manual Coordinator ( listed on the inside cover of the RESTORER) that is developing Judging manuals with the objective of having them ready when the Corvette model becomes 15 years old. I believe the team would like to know of low mileage, pristine examples that are approaching this age group for reference.- Top
