I'm not familiar with the original question you posed. However, with respect to 1965 tires, as far as I know the tires available under option P91 were blackwall, 6.70X15 size. However, these tires featured a NYLON cord construction as opposed to the standard blackwall tires which were rayon cord. I believe that this option was only available for a very short period of time, but I'm not sure about that.
Otherwise, all 1965 Corvettes were equipped with 7.75 X 15 tire size. The standard tire was a blackwall tire of rayon cord construction. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Noland's book indicates that although the carryover 1964 P-91 option code was used in 1965 and early references indicated the 6.70-15 size (as in 1964), production records show that the 168 65's built through October 14, 1964 with P-91 were built with 7.75-15 tires - the size change was made before the start of 1965 production.- Top

It seemed strange to me, too, that the 6.70 size would have been used for any 65's. However, I figured that since they dropped the option so early, that was the reason. I wonder why they didn't continue the option if the 7.75 tires were used, which would have been the equivalent of the 1964 option (i.e. nylon cord blackwall tires versus standard rayon cord blackwall tires)? In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
