Delco Battery Caps

I have a eye battery cap that's black with yellow lettering and one that has green lettering. Does anyone what era these are from? Plus I have a couple that have foam in the center. I've had them a long time. Thanks, Michael

The 'green' lettering is most likely the factory original red that's oxidized and faded over the years. These are from the 1967 era...

They had yellow, green ,and red eye caps for different grade batteries they were from the late sixties.the yellow was the the cheap one the red was the best one.
