My brake calipers need rebuilding on my '70. I plan on checking them out and put seals in them if needed. Where can I obtain the zinc bleeder screws? Secondly, does anyone have pictures of calipers original or restored so I can replicate the paint and bare metal machined surfaces?

Re: 1970 Brake Calipers
According to the '70 TIM & JG:
"Brake calipers were low gloss black, but were painted before machining and assembly. The machined surfaces are natural and contain a small stamped date code.
The front caliper support brackets are cadmium dichromate. The rear support brackets are low gloss black.
Check through the wheel openings and on the inside of the wheel only for calipers painted other colors by rebuilders and zinc bleeder screws."
I don't know where to get the zinc bleeder screws. Maybe someone will help both of us?
My car has the PO2 wheel covers and you cannot see any of the caliper or bleeder screw.
Hope that helps.- Top
