    63 Glovebox Light Ground

In putting back together the glovelbox assembly for my early '63 I'm not sure about how to ground the glovebox light. I can't find any information in the guides or manuals about where a ground should go. However on the brace below the box (where the trim tag is affixed to but closer to the center console) there appears to be a small hole that would be perfect for attaching a ground wire with a screw. Can anybody confirm or deny that this is the right approach? Thanks much,
    Seth

i believe ground is accomplishied by the light's housing being a press fit in the metal frame of the glove box door which is fastened to the brace the vin/trim tags attach to. i don't recall an area on the light housing that has provisions for a ground wire. sure ya have the correct glovebox light assembly? mike

Mike, not sure about later 63's but early 63 have no metal frame for the glove box. Just a fiber box secured to the fiberglass dash. So a ground wire is attached to trim tag brace.

Later 63's, April, the ground is from the glove box frame to the Z bar that has the Vin and Trim plates.
