Re: Cleaning vacuum lines
Hi Dave:
Almost anything you will use in an attempt to remove the overspray will remove whatever color coding stripes remain. Lacquer thinner cleans them up real well but will remove the stripes instantly, soap and water may clean stripes. If you can get them satisfactorily clean then an application of any silicone spray will make them look like new but ...those stripes.

David,
I used "Goofs Off" and a LOT of patience, and it did a reasonable job of removing overspray while leaving the stripes.

Re: Cleaning vacuum lines
I cleaned all the hoses, even tape in wires and non taped wires using a paint remover where overspray was noticed (being not original to the car) and inmediately cleaning with WD40 to flush. Finally with a rag to dry and some rubber protectorant in case of hoses. They ended very well, although color stripes are faded due to age (as Jerry stated), but usually overspray paint is more easily removed than hose's stripe paint in the layer behind it. A quick application of remover will delete overspray without harming too much stripes. Plastic connectors everywhere in the engine bay will clean very well with WD40. Always dry with a rope to avoid side effects as WD40 or similar have solvents. Roberto, NCRS #30019, RMC- Top
